Community Life

Parents

Parents are integral to the success of their children in the school setting.  Families entering the St. Victor School community accept the financial and service obligation, which enhances the programs and facilities for their children. Our parent volunteers help keep our school beautiful and safe.

Coffee With the Principal

Coffee With the Principal began in the 2015-2016 school year as a way for parents to share their ideas and concerns with the principal. This is also a good way for parents to get to know each other. Each month 10 - 12 families are invited to meet with the administration in a casual setting that includes a light breakfast and coffee. The feedback that the administration receives from these meetings helps to improve student learning and school programs.

Student Participation in Parish Life

Altar Servers - St. Victor’s Altar Serving program is open to students in grades 4-8 who have completed the Sacraments of Baptism and First Eucharist. Applications are made available in September. Applicants must attend two trainings in September as well.

Children’s Liturgy and Student Lectors - St. Victor School has two ways that students can be involved in Sunday Masses as well as daily Masses. The second Sunday of each month there is a Children’s Liturgy at 10:45 AM. Sr. Sara King works with students to be lectors, gift bearers, and Gospel actors. Sr. Sara also trains students in grades 4 - 8 to be lectors at daily masses. The children’s liturgies and student lectors help to expose children at an early age to the workings of the liturgy.

Scouting - Scouts enjoy great adventures and fun activities with kids their own age in a family-friendly environment. Scouting leads to new friends, strong values, and increased self-esteem. Maximize their ability to succeed in life! Link to Cub Scout Pack http://www.svcspack165.org
